Eaglecrest Campus
Eaglecrest Campus, on the Matanuska River, encompasses nine acres of land donated to Eaglecrest Alaska Missions for the specific purpose of establishing an outreach ministry center to the community of Sutton, Alaska. Sutton is filled with character and many wonderful people and dates back to the gold rush days. Today, however, many residents struggle to make ends meet. It’s here that Eaglecrest Alaska Missions is seeking to bring the presence of Christ through repairing homes, meeting physical needs, and building a year-round youth ministry.
Lodging & Accommodations
The lodging facilities at Eaglecrest Campus are rustic, yet comfortable. Housing was designed intentionally to add a key dimension to your group’s Alaska experience. In most cultures, the so-called necessities of life can often distract us from what’s really important. We have discovered that “living in simplicity” opens one’s heart to see the work of God in and around them. Although the first day or two may require some adjustment among some participants, most participants encourage us to keep the site primitive and rustic, noting that the challenge to “live simply” helped them realign their focus on what’s ultimately important in life. All participants will sleep in a bed with mattress and sleeping bag.
